Built on the foundation of AIG Holdings Group, a proven leader in engineering, maintenance, construction, and modification since 2016, AIG Kinabalu carries forward the same DNA of excellence, safety, and innovation.

2025 – 2026 – FOUNDATION & CAPABILITY BUILDING
- Establish headquarters and fabrication facilities in Sabah.
- Kick-off strategic partnerships (Blue Steel, PT Syifa Petco, AIG Holdings tech transfer).
- Recruit and train Sabahan workforce – Welders, Scaffolders, Fabricators, Riggers, Engineers.
- Begin Process Skid Package assembly and integration in Sabah.
2026–2028 – LOCAL MANUFACTURING & TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER
- Expand fabrication yard to handle full Process Skid Package fabrication (Fuel Gas, Glycol, Chemical Injection, Water Treatment skids).
- Introduce Cold Work Technology for FPSO/FSO tank & hull repairs in Sabah.
- Implement Digital Twin & Hull Monitoring solutions (with Akselos) for offshore assets in East Malaysia.
- Launch structured Technical Training & Certification Program with AIG Holdings engineers for local talent (ASME IX, AWS D1.1, scaffolding engineering, NDT, etc.).
- Work closely with Sabah state agencies & PETRONAS vendors to increase Sabah-based project allocations.
2028 – 2030 – SABAH AS A REGIONAL HUB
- Position Sabah as a center of excellence for Process Skid Package fabrication for East Malaysia & regional markets (Brunei, Indonesia, Philippines).
- Develop specialized engineering teams in Sabah for FPSO/FSO campaigns (MCM & RLE).
- Expand Sabah facilities into full-fledged fabrication yard with blasting, painting, machining, hydrotesting & skid integration bays.
- Establish R&D and Innovation Unit in Sabah focusing on sustainability, low-carbon solutions, and renewable integration (solar, hybrid energy for industrial operations).
- Build Sabah-local vendor ecosystem for steel supply, logistics, and marine services.
LEGACY GOAL (BEYOND 2030) – SABAH INDUSTRIAL GROWTH CHAMPION
- Sabah recognized as a self-sufficient hub for oil & gas engineering, fabrication, and maintenance services.
- Export Sabah-made Process Skid Packages & engineering solutions to international markets.
